2008 COMMUNITY SHOWCASE INFORMATION
Local artists, poets, musicians whose work has a strong association to the Powderhorn community and who are interested in participating in the Powderhorn Art Fair are invited to apply to the Powderhorn Art Fair’s Community Showcase. The Community Showcase is intended as a way to prepare artists for being Main Exhibitors at a later date. Forty artists will be selected to exhibit their work in the Community Showcase area of the 2008 Powderhorn Art Fair.
PROCESS
Applicants submit a photo, slide or sample of their work along with this application for review by the Community Showcase committee. Entries are evaluated based on how closely they are associated with a community theme.
The application deadline is June 6, 2008
ELIGIBILITY
Community Showcase artists must either live in the greater Powderhorn community or be able to show that they have a strong connection to the community through their work.
The following neighborhoods are considered part of the greater Powderhorn community: Whittier - Lyndale - Central - Phillips - Corcoran - Bancroft - Bryant - Standish - Powderhorn
LOCATION
Artists are given a 4’ x 4’ (card table size) space inside the Community Showcase Area to exhibit their work. A small table (Card table size) will be provided, with a chair.
FEES
Exhibit Fee: $50 (returned if not selected)
Review Charge: $5 (non-refundable)
